On year 2022 I created an account at Belfius Mechelen Grote Markt for a car, total price was 37.000 euros and on August 04 2025 I decided to pay all in advance and to close my account with this bank. Everything was paid, I have the receipt and other documents from the agency, but on December 19 2025 I received a letter from Banque National de Belgique that I am ‘’registered with default de paiement a la Centrale des credits au particuliers CCP’’ Contract 074252871217 with numero de enterprise BE0403201185.
From August until December I received nothing from Belfius Bank , no letters or emails or phone calls or messages to inform me that I have to pay something and I was not expecting something because I new that my account is close.
When I decide to close the account with Belfius, not only that the Belfius employee reassured me that the account is close and my connections with Belfius are terminated, she also destroyed my card bank telling me that I will need no more this card(with this occasion I gave her the card reader as well because I didn’t needed anymore).
The problem is that I am registered on National bank as bad customer and I am sure that is not my fault at all and because of that I cannot sleep .
