Hello,I have received a letter by post on April 1, 2021 from ING stating that they have decided to close my account. Knowing that ING is my car insurer and the only product/services i have with this company, i have followed the necessary procedures stated on their letter, signed and sent via email to closure@ing.com on April 13,2021 to close the account. I've even called ING by phone, making sure that i have done the necessary procedures and they have told me that there is nothing more to do. This is 3 months before my car insurance is renewed on July 2021.So now, I took a new car insurance from another bank because ING told me that my account is closed.A few months later on June 4, 2021 i still keep on getting letter by post from ING stating that my insurance is still active!?! 2 months after i have supposedly closed my account. I wrote again another email on June 10, 2021 to car@nn.be, cc: closure@ing.com, offboardingteam@ing.com, explaining that i did the necessary procedure to close the account done on April 13, 2021. On July 22, 2021, i receive a letter from car@nn.be stating, The bank ING decide to close the commercial relation with you about your bank products.It not concern the insurance product.Your insurance contract is still running, if you want to cancel it you will have to send us a registered letter 3 months before the renewal date (04/07/2022).This is unacceptable! It took 3 months to receive an email from NN life insurance. All in all that the time has passed on proper cancellation procedures, trapping me to avail a car insurance for another year!?! It is very vague that ING bank and NN Insurance Services Belgium SA are two separate entities with different cancellation procedures. This was not made clear by ING nor NN insurance on their previous emails nor phone conversations.I will not pay two car insurances given the tardiness of the response time and vague cancellation procedures by both ING and NN insurance. Kindly close the contract insurance policy.
