Consumer Rights Violation - Smartphoneomnium Insurance and Proximus Phone Contract. Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to seek your advice regarding a potential violation of my consumer rights. I entered into an agreement with Smartphoneomnium for mobile phone insurance, believing it would offer security and protection in case of theft.I also entered a separate contract with Proximus, a mobile phone provider in Belgium, to purchase a phone with monthly installments. My concern lies in the lack of transparency from Smartphoneomnium.They did not provide me with all the necessary information or clearly explain the key terms of the insurance agreement.This creates an unfair situation where the company benefits at the expense of the customer, failing to deliver on promised services. Specifically, Smartphoneomnium emphasizes customer safety to build trust, yet they avoid responsibility when needed.Their misleading commercial tactics involve: Limited communication channels: Restricting communication methods makes it difficult for customers to obtain information. Hidden information: Crucial details concerning the insurance are not readily available. Uninformed decisions: The lack of transparency prevents me from making well-informed choices about the service.Furthermore, despite the circumstances, Smartphoneomnium refused to attempt a resolution. According to Belgian law on legal guarantees, the provider should ensure the product meets the agreed-upon quality and functionality.In this case, a replacement or repair should have been offered without causing me financial hardship. By refusing to address the problem and placing the burden on the customer, Smartphoneomnium discourages legal action, knowing many wouldn't pursue the time-consuming and expensive route. I am deeply dissatisfied with their service. I request clarification on my situation and how to proceed towards a resolution. I will be happy to provide documentation such as purchase proofs, police theft report, and email correspondence with Smartphoneomnium. Thank you for your time and assistance. Sincerely,Ina Zdrava.
