I am writing to file a formal complaint against Life Style Fitness regarding serious billing irregularities and lack of response to my repeated requests for resolution.
Summary of the Issue
Membership Details: My membership covers myself (€58) and my husband (€48), totaling €106 per month.
Contract Terms: I was informed that the contract is monthly and can be terminated with one month’s notice.
Problems Encountered
Excessive and Duplicate Debits:
October: Charged €106 + €58 (instead of €106).
November: Charged twice €106 (total €212) plus €58.
In addition, I was obliged to pay €58 directly to Cofidis for October and November to finalize the contract, meaning I paid my membership twice for two months.
Overpayment:
Total overpaid: €222 (duplicate charges) + €116 (double membership payments) = €338.
I requested reimbursement multiple times but received no refund.
Ignored Requests:
I asked for the resignation form and clarification on charges since October. No proper response was given.
The only reply claimed the double debit was a “bank error,” but no corrective action followed.
Cofidis Pressure:
Due to the gym’s failure to resolve this, Cofidis is now demanding repayment of amounts I reversed, creating unnecessary stress.
Timeline of Communication
October 18: Requested contract clarification and resignation form.
November 4: Reported double debit and requested reimbursement.
November 6 & 11: Followed up with no meaningful response.
Today: More than one month later, no resolution provided.
My Requests
Immediate reimbursement of all overpaid amounts (€116).
Written confirmation of contract termination imediate.
Assurance that no further debits will be made.
Written clarification to Cofidis that these amounts are disputed due to the gym’s errors.
Attachments
Bank statements showing incorrect debits.
Email correspondence with Life Style Fitness.
I kindly request Test Achats to intervene and assist in resolving this matter, as the company has failed to provide any satisfactory response for over a month.
