The administrative fee applied

Dear Sir/Madam,I ordered schoolbooks for my kids from Studieshop.be. Our school (European School MOL) agreed with this company to order the books. I have ordered books for my two sons (1st order: 110Euro + 2nd order: 179 Euro). The payment is done by credit card in advance in September 1st. In the first order, one of the books is substituted by another book by school and this makes 5.48 euro extra cost which is billed and sent via e-mail. However, this bill which was sent to my e-mail on 5 October went unnoticed from my side. 21 days given to me to pay it, but i was not aware of it. Then at the end of november, another invoice is sent with 17.50 administrative costs +5.48=22.98 euro. I didnt see this email as well which probably landed on my junk folder. In January 9th, my son asked me about a school book which i though I ordered from studieshop. When i logged into account, I saw the unpaid bill and the fine. Very surprised, i contacted the company and told them that i never received the bill and the reminder, and kindly ask them to cancel this enormous fine tripling the actual amount, and i will immediately pay that 5 euro which i was not aware of. They refused to do this, showing me the email reminder they sent to me. I explained them i didnt see it in my email box and never receive it to my letterbox. When they refused to cancel, i payed all amount to avoid another fine, and possible send of the bill to a collector. I dont see a good intention here as I explained the situation. I ordered books totaling 289 euros and make the payment instantly, and refrain to pay that 5 euros intentionally? The date of first extra facture is 4 October, given 21 days to pay. then 17.50 fine is applied. Can a fine after first reminder be this high? it doesn't seem reasonable. Also, none of the communication is done via letter to my home address but always via e-mail. This is the reason i couldn't make the payment on time.This company had many complaints from the school and the parents due to poor service, communication and late delivery. We continue to receive books even after the first month of the school. Despite this poor service, they are very good at applying high fines with poor communication and customer oriented service mentality. I already did the payment. However, I am really very disappointed with their service and communication quality. I kindly ask your help and guidance on this matter so that future customers would not experience similar issues with this company.Please feel free to ask any documents, facture or e-mail communication records with the company.Kind regards,Aykut Sargin0486322405
